Chiropractors seeking advice find Scientology-influenced seminars
November 29, 1987, Stephen Koff, St. Petersburg Times
http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/sptimes/access/50162617.html?dids=50162617:50162617&FMT=FT&FMTS=ABS:FT

Before he was through, though, he would pay $18,000 to the Church of
Scientology and, he says, suffer the "money-hungry rapaciousness" of the
cult-like sect. When he "opened my eyes and demanded the money back," he
says, "it took us five, six months and we had to hire an attorney to get it
back."

Trying to bend manager' minds

The faith business: Scientology in NZ
February 15, 2008, Sunday Star-Times
http://www.stuff.co.nz/4403031a20455.html

Convinced, Yong joined the church, signed up for a $700 business management
course and spent hundreds more on Scientology literature. But within two
months his longest-serving employee had quit because of harassment by
Wenborn, who had persuaded Yong she was "draining his life-force".

Yong landed before the Employment Relations Authority (ERA) and in 2006 was
fined $13,000 for unjustified dismissal. Wenborn has returned to Australia,
but other members are still hounding Yong. "They never stop," he says. "I
kick one out and another comes in."
